Very quick tipsy chocolate dessert

This recipe came out of a kitchen disaster... it still tastes good though!

4 stale chocolate muffins
8 spoons cherry jam*
8 desert spoons plum brandy
cream or ice cream to serve
icing sugar to finish.

* or plum jam, or a good jam of your choice.

Prep time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 0 mins

1. Cut the muffins into 3 horizontally ( base, middle, top).
2. Place the first slice, the base, of each muffin in a glass, and add a spoonful of jam.
3. repeat for the middle and top, although don't add any jam to the top layer.
4. add a good splash of plum brandy to each glass, pouring into the middle so that all of the muffin is covered. You need just enough to get to the base of the glass, rather than having the bottom swimming in liquid. You may need to squish the muffin inside the glass at this point, be gentle as so not to break the top.
5. Finish off with a dusting of icing sugar, and serve with cream or ice cream- yum! These work best if they are allowed to stand for 10 mins or so for the brandy to soak in.
