Sticky Rice Aeroplane

'Sushi rice' is quite expensive in the UK- but I've found that normal short grain pudding rice does the trick at half the price- huruh!
Cooking time: 10 mins
Sitting time: 5 mins

1/2 cup of pudding rice per person
1 cup of water per 1/2 cup of rice, give or take a bit
A little salt to season

1. Add the rice and water to a pan, and bring to the boil.
2. Boil quite vigorously for 9-10 min with the pan uncovered, the water should be nearly all gone.
3. Turn the heat off, cover the pan and allow the rice to sit for 5 min to absorb the remaining water.
4. The rice should now be set...
5. If you want to be a little different you can use a biscuit cutter to form the rice on a plate. Pack the rice in firmly, and when the cutter is removed the rice will retain it's shape. In Japan sticky rice is used to make elaborate ' bento' or lunch boxes, I'm nowhere near as skilled.... but here is my attempt at a rice aeroplane:

I used the rest of my stir fry as decoration. The bit that looks like an oil leak is actually balsamic vinegar dressing, it was meant to be a roundel but you know what techies are like LOL :)
