Japanese Peanut butter cookies

Super-simple recipe, and can be made just about anywhere, including in a toaster oven! These cookies are soft, crumbly and sweet.


1 teacup of flour
2 dessert spoons of peanut butter
2 dessert spoons of golden syrup
 or
 4 dessert spoons of Japanese peanut butter
(if you have access to Japanese peanut butter, which is like peanut flavoured syrup)
1/2 dessert spoon of butter, margarine or spread

Prep time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

Conventional Oven

1. Pre-heat the oven to 220°C
2. Mix all the ingredients together until it forms a soft, but not sticky, dough.
3. Divide into 8, roll and flatten the dough in your hand.
4. Place on a baking try and cook for 8-10 mins until golden brown.

5. Allow the cookies to cool before moving or eating them.


In a 1000W Toaster oven.

1. Mix all the ingredients together until it forms a soft, but not sticky, dough.
2. Divide into 8, roll and flatten the dough in your hand.
3. Place on a baking tray and cook on HIGH for 3-4 mins per side.
4. Allow the cookies to cool before moving or eating them.
